Covert meeting between leaders of Maoist and UML

KATHMANDU:
UCPN (Maoist) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and CPN (UML) Chairperson Jhalanath Khanal has held a secret meeting today.
The meeting held at a person’s residence in Bijulibazar has dwelt upon the ‘respectable’ exit of the Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai, who has been adamant on refusing to step down until his conditions are not met.

It is learnt that the leader duo were accompanied by Maoist leader Amik Sherchan and UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal in the meeting.

Prime Minister Dr Bhattarai has put forth the condition on Monday that the election related constitutional provisions be amended and date be announced by his government along with giving his government a shape of national unity government, albeit for short span of time. However,  riled with the conditions, the opposition parties have been accusing the Prime Minister of being spoilsport on the consensus building efforts.
