Court itself resolves problems: LSP Chair Thakur

KATHMANDU:- Chairperson of the Loktantrik Samajwadi Party Mahantha Thakur has viewed that the Supreme Court should resolve recent problems on it own. “Judges and the court that settle cases have fallen into disputes themselves. There is a provision that the apex court itself should settle any issues. Other cannot interfere,” he said while addressing the inaugural session of the Nepali Congress ongoing 14th General Convention here in Kathmandu on Friday.
In a different context, the leader drew the attention of the incumbent government to address their issues soon stating that they continued to be unsatisfied with the existing constitution as it has some shortcomings.
Claiming that the Madhes and Tharuhat movements were born as an outcome of discontent, he requested the government to release arrestee party leaders and cadres involved in the movements including Resham Chaudhary.
He also warned of re-launching struggles if their demands continued to remain unaddressed.
He suggested that the ruling NC strengthens the governance system of the country by bringing together the party line, reasoning that government becomes unstable if the party goes unbalanced.
On the occasion, pointing out that only proportional representation in all state organs consolidates democracy, chairperson of the People’s Socialist Party Upendra Yadav expressed the hope that on that base, the country would lead to the direction of prosperity.
For all, access to economic freedom, social justice and end all sorts of discriminations alongside equality in all state organs should be ensured, the leader viewed.
