KATHMANDU:- The country has reported a total of new 179 new cases of coronavirus infection of the 3,565 RT-PCR tests in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population said.
Likewise, 111 infected ones were discharged after their recovery.
Of the infected, Bagmati Province recorded the highest number with 106 new cases followed by 33 in Gandaki, 16 in Lumbini and 12 in Sudurpaschim.
Likewise, with the starting of second wave of the virus spread in neighbouring India, antigen testing has been initiated in the bordering points including Belahiya, Gaddachauki, Jamunana, Krishnanagar and Trinagar.
It is said that the infected rate remained four percent as confirmed after the antigen testing.
According to the Ministry, 61 individuals are in quarantine facilities across the country.
