KATHMANDU:- A total of 403 new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in the past 24 hours in the country, the Ministry of Health and Population stated. With this, the total cases of infection reached 266,546 till today in the country.
In the past 24 hours, Kathmandu valley recorded 246 new cases including 220 in Kathmandu district, 23 in Lalitpur and 3 in Bhaktapur.
According to the Ministry, 405 infected ones recovered in the past 24 hours across the country. The Ministry said that altogether 260,177 infected persons have recovered till January 14. At present, 152 infected ones are receiving treatment in ICU and 33 others are in ventilators across the country.
The Ministry further confirmed that six infected persons died of the COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. With this, the total number of COVID-19 related deaths reached 1,943 in the country.
