
KATHMANDU:- The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against then Chairman of Tax Clearance Commission, Lumbadhwoj Mahat; and members Umesh Prasad Dhakal and Chudamani Sharma.
The CIAA filed the case of Rs 1 billion for compromising with the taxpayers breaching the jurisdiction given by Tax Clearance Commission Act and the notice published in Nepal gazette.
The CIAA has sought recovery of Rs 1.3 billion from the accused, said CIAA Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Risal, along with imprisonment.
