    Constitutional Council proposes Former CJ Anup Raj Sharma as NHRC Chair

    Anup Raj SahramaKATHMANDU: Constitutional Council on Thursday recommended names for the vacant posts of Chairman and other members in the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).

    A meeting of the Council recommended former Chief Justice Anup Raj Sharma as the Chairman of the constitutional body.

    Similary, the Council has also recommended Prakash Osti, Mohan Ansari, Sudeep Pathak and Govinda Sharma as the members.

    The recommendation will be endorsed by President Ram Baram Yadav after the approval Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee.
