Clarification sought from six in Saptari


RAJBIRAJ: The District Election Office Saptari has sought clarifications from six people including five candidates of Saptari and alerted one candidate.
The office sought clarifications from direct election candidate of Constituency No. 3 of MJF- Nepal Shailendra Prasad Saha today on the basis of petitions, said District Election Officer Pradip Kumar Saha.
He was accused of taking out motorcycle rally without permission, his cadres consuming alcohol during campaigning and creating disturbances against the election code of conduct.
He was given 24 hours to present clarification, said Monitoring Officer Rakeshmani Upadhyay.
Likewise, CPN-UML Constituency No. 5 candidate Govind Bahadur Neupane, MJF Nepal Constituency No. 2 candidate Chandra Narayan Yadav and his brother Surya Narayan Yadav have already submitted clarifications as demanded by the office.
TMLP’s Constituency No. 3 candidate Jaya Prakash Thakur was accused of distributing cash and chhath puja materials to people.
Sadbhawana Party Constituency No. 2 candidate Nawalkishor Saha submitted clarification a month ago.
Earlier, the Office alerted Terai Madhes Sadbhawana Party Constituency No. 1 candidate Shatrughan Prasad Rauniyar for distributing pamphlets saying that he carried out different works while he was Saptari Chambers Chairman two weeks ago. RSS
