KATHMANDU: With the news coming about the problems faced by passengers due to lack of sufficient human resources at the Immigration Department after many employees were arrested for their alleged involvement in corruption, the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has directed the concerned ministers to fill the void of employees in Foreign Employment Department, Immigration Department and Nepal Electricity Authority.
Spokesperson of CIAA, Shreedhar Sapkota informed that the CIAA directed the ministries concerned to make necessary arrangement of human resources soon after service recipients filed complaints at CIAA of facing problems due to lack of employees.
The service recipients have been facing problems after the CIAA arrested employees of Immigration Office at Tribhuvan International Airport, NEA and Foreign Employment Department on the charge of corruption.
Sapkota said letter has been sent to secretaries of Labour and Employment, Home and Energy Ministries as well as chiefs of the office having lack of employees to sent required employees on time.
Service seekers at Immigration Department of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), NEA and Foreign Employment Department complained about their difficulties in the absence of employees following the arrest of various officials of the public offices by the CIAA.
The CIAA has warned that the concerned ministers should take the responsibility for the situation resulting from lack of employees.
The anti-graft body has been acting very tough against the persons involved in alleged corruption. The CIAA has become active after the appointment of Lokman Singh Karki as the Chief Commissioner of the CIAA.
