KATHMANDU: Newly appointed Chief Secretary Leelamani Poudel assumed office from today. The new Chief Secretary assumed his office amidst a programme at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has wished for successful term of Chief Secretary Poudel and directed him to work keeping the interests of the people in top priority.
PM Bhattarai stressed the need of making the civil service result-oriented rather than limiting it to process-oriented.
Similarly, Chief Secretary Poudel pledged to work honestly and make maximum efforts on his behalf to make the civil service disciplined and accountable to the people.Secretaries and high-ranking officials of various ministries were also present on the occasion. RSS
