Gandaki Province Chief Minister Gurung appoints 8 ministers including Deepak Manange

KASKI:- Gandaki Province Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung has expanded the cabinet. Five ministers, including Rajiv Gurung aka Deepak Manange, have been added to his cabinet. 

On Wednesday, Kiran Gurung was sworn in as Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning and Ram Sharan Basnet, Vikas Lamsal and Naradevi Pun were sworn in as non-departmental ministers.

Youth and Sports Minister Deepak Manange was absent from the swearing-in ceremony.

Earlier, Basnet was the Minister for Physical Infrastructure, Lamsal Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment and Social Development.

Prithvi Subba Gurung, who was appointed as the Chief Minister on April 13 while Corona was in home isolation due to infection, wanted to expand the cabinet on the same day but postponed it due to health reasons.

Chief Minister Gurung is still in home isolation.

The number of ministries has reached eight after Chief Minister Gurung split the Ministry of Social Development and appointed Deepak Manange as the Minister for Youth and Sports.
