Arrived at the TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj to acquire information about the health condition of Nepali Congress Vice-President Ram Chandra Poudel, Chairman Dahal said Prime Minister’s views came against the suggestions from the party. “He did not consult me while making such remark, why he made such views, I’ll talk to him,” Chairman Dahal said.
Prime Minister Dr Bhattarai had termed the demand of his resignation by opposition parties’ a ‘childish demand after he arrived home from Brazil yesterday. It invited criticisms from various parties. His own party Chairman Dahal also became surprised and expressed discontent with his remarks. Chairman Dahal said he was for the national consensus, and urged all to support him in this bid. However, he said the PM would not resign immediately.
He made such response after ailing NC Vice-President Poudel inquired him about the PM’s remarks, said Poudel’s aide, Chiranjivi Adhikari. On the occasion, Maoist Chairman Dahal wished speedy recovery of the ailing leader Poudel.
The Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML have been protesting the PM’s views he made at the Tribhuvan International Airport after arriving from Brazil. They claim that the PM’s views were the obstruction to consensus.
