CA elections not possible: Maoist Secy

KATHMANDU: Maoist secretary CP Gajurel has said that the election declared by the government is not possible at any cost. Speaking at a program in Biratnagar on Saturday, Gajurel ridiculed the government for its efforts to conduct another CA elections despite its failure to draft the constitution in the earlier CA.

” The new CA election is not possible. It cannot be done as per the wishes of some Maoist and Madhesh based party leaders,” said Gajurel.

Gajurel, who is one of leading proponent of the Maoist hardliner faction, claimed another CA would be nothing more than bearing 9 billion rupee loan for the country.

Stating that the new elections cannot be held under status quo, Gajurel also stressed on the need to garner national consensus to amend the Interim Constitution.

He also accused Maoist Chairman Puspa Kamal Dahal and PM Bhattarai of dissolving the CA without promulgating the new constitution and said that both of these leaders will be remembered in history for their incompetence.
