‘Black Tie’ event concludes in Los Angles


Gokul Dhakal / LOS ANGLES: Friends of Nepal, the oldest organization of Los Angles, organized the Black Tie event like in the previous years. Many Nepali people have participated in the event organized at Sheraton Hotel of Seriates City.

Consulate General Rishi Dhakal, Mayor of Artesia City Shelli Flower participated as special guests in the program. Mr. Dhakal, Bouddhik Sansar Saichik Pratisthan, Newa Organization of America, social workers Gopal and Manita Gopal Yogi and Devi Prasad and Narmaya Baskota were felicitated on the occasion.

Mayor Flower and Chairperson of the organization Dr. Jit Joshi jointly felicitated them. The felicitated persons expressed their gratitude to the organization and added that the felicitation inspired them to get engaged in the social sector.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Dhakal, Ms. Flower and Vice Chairperson of the organization Mukunda Dhungana among others talked about the role to be played by Nepali organizations for supporting the Nepali community.

The program chaired by Dr. Jit Joshi was attended by people representing different Nepali communities including Chairperson of Shree Pashupatinath Foundation Bhakta Thapa, D. R C of NRN NCC and vice chairperson Rajendra Siwakoti and chairperson of Newa Samaj Dil Bahadur Shrestha among others.
