KATHMANDU: The movie ‘Black Night’ has raised questions with its name as being linked with sexual contents but director Madhusudhan Bhattarai differs saying that the storyline is completely different.
Though Bhattarai’s debut movie ‘Blackmail’ is set to release on September 14 2012, he is already on the floor with the direction of his second movie, Black Night
Along with his new team, Bhattarai has kicked off the shooting with Black Night this Tuesday morning.
At the Film Deveopment Board, the president of Nepal Film Producers Association, Rajkumar Rai inaugurated the film’s muhurat with Nepal Film Association’s General Secretary, Pradip Udaya helping with the clap board.
Director Bhattarai stated that the name ‘Black’ in both of his movies is just a coincidence as the story demanded such relevance. Regarding the rumors with the sexual contents of the movie, he defends saying the script does carry a glamorous theme but has not capitalized on sex.
The all-new-cast movie Black Night, is produced under the banner of World Touch Express by Hiraj Babu Gorkhali with the budget of NRs 5 Million. The fresh faces in the movie are Nisa Risal, Suraj Chilwal, Suresh Chilwal, Apsara Ghimire, Seema Shahi Thakuri and Anupa Karki.
The story of the movie, revolving around the Thamel area of Kathmandu is based on the lifestyle of street children.
Camera man Shambhu Sapkota is using the state-of-the-art ‘Red Four K’ camera for the movie whereas music is composed by Bikash Chaudhary, choreography by Pradip Shrestha with action direction by Chandra Panta.
