BJP leader Koshyari says contentious issues are less than one percent


KATHMANDU: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader and former Chief Minister of Uttarakhanda, Bhagat Singh Koshyari, has said that less than one per cent contentious issues remaining in the new constitution of Nepal could be resolved.

In a face to face programme organised by the Reporters’ Club here today, leader Singh expressed his confidence that the contentious issues related to delineation of provinces would be resolved soon and the constitution would be fully implemented. He added that he came to this conclusion after holding talks with leaders of different political parties in this connection.

Leader Singh further said that Nepal should be self-dependent and should stand on its own as it has entered into the new era.

Stating that the treaty of 1950 should be read thoroughly before opposing it, the former Chief Minister Singh said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was committed to completing his words expressed during his Nepal visit.

Leader Singh made it clear that he was not provoking any religion but he was worried about the religious conversion in Nepal. RSS
