N24 Staff Writer, KATHMANDU:- Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplov’ lead Maoist group is preparing for talks with the government.
While Nepal Government is making informal efforts for talks calling for peaceful politics, Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplov’ lead Maoist group has formally informed that it is ready for talks.
In a statement issued on Saturday, General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand Biplav said, “We are informing that our party is positive for dialogue and dialogue with the government in the event of an environment conducive to activities and programs in the general public.”
On January 6, Minister for Drinking Water Mani Thapa reached Nakhu Jail and met Hemant Prakash Oli Sudarshan. Government officials have been claiming that other channels are also trying to communicate.
The government has also said positively in the latest statement of the uprising. And, if you want to come to peaceful politics, create an environment for it, said a minister.
Leaders of the rebel group, however, said that they were not against the talks and that there was no immediate dialogue.
