N24 Correspondent, KATHMANDU:- People suffer due to the ‘Biplava’ led CPN-Maoist announces national strike against the price hike today.

Public transportation is scarce. Those who want to go to their destination this morning are suffering due to the lack of public transport.

Passengers who enter the Kathmandu Valley in the morning after a long journey are stranded due to a lack of public transport. Passengers are seen waiting for vehicles at places like Kalanki, New Bus Park, Koteshwar, Balkhu, and Balaju.

There are very few vehicles leaving the Kathmandu Valley. Private cars and motorcycles continue to operate in the Kathmandu Valley even due to strikes. But they are also less active than the previous day.

The deployment of security personnel has been increased in the Kathmandu Valley. No untoward incident was reported during the bandh, said Kathmandu Police Chief SSP Ashok Singh.

According to him, five protesters including three from Maharajgunj and two from Sankhu have been arrested.
