KATHMANDU: Journalists Rudra Khadka and Arjun Oli of Nagarik daily are to be honoured with the Barbara Adams Investigative Journalism Award-2018. The journalist duo was awarded in recognition of their news report about the irregularities in Sikta Irrigation Project.
The award carries a purse of Rs 100,001. It was instituted on May 16, 2013, by American citizen and journalist based in Nepal, Barbara Adams, with a donation fund of one million rupees. The award was established with the objective of promoting investigative journalism in Nepal.
Adams had come to Nepal in 1961 and lived here until her death in 2016. Adams was a journalist as well as a writer.
The award would be distributed on Thursday amid function, according to Barbara Foundation.
