Speaking in RD show to be aired on the Himalayan Television at 9 on Saturday, Baidya said “we wont be left with any alternative other than to raise arms if political consensus is not catered and pro-people constitution is not drafted.”
He announced that they would go for armed revolt by using the government’s arms and dismissed claims that his party would bring arms from China to launch the new armed revolution.
On a different note, Baidya said that the relevance of the five point agreement signed between political parties had ended and said that the Nepali Congress cannot claim the leadership of the government on the basis of that agreement.
Laying his party’s claim on the leadership of the national consensus government, he warned that his party would launch protests to topple the Bhattarai government, if the PM did not step down on his own.
