KATHMANDU: A meeting of UCPN Maoist leaders, close to hardliner Vice Chairman of the party Mohan Baidya, have decided to take to streets for exerting pressure for the dissolution of the incumbent government and also for the timely conclusion of peace and constitution writing process.
The gathering, according to a source in the know how, took such a decision after concluding that the government had failed to safeguard party’s policy and decision and consequently failed to take stand on issues related to PLA integration and constitution drafting.
Among others party General Secretary and Baidya’s favorite Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ was present at the meeting.
The faction is also expected to come up with detailed protest programs on Saturday said the source.
