BIRGUNJ: A group of around seven masked persons today vandalized the Birgunj-based office of Avenues Television.
They smashed glass entrance gate and tore out the banner, said the police. The identity of some of the vandals has been known, and a search has been launched for them and other vandals, said chief district officer Narayan Prasad Bhattarai. Investigations are ongoing with the help of CCTV footage’s and the vandals would be booked, he pledged.
Meanwhile, issuing a statement, the Federation of Nepali Journalists, State 2 and Parsa branch condemned the incident and demanded action against those involved in the vandalism.
