KATHMANDU:- At least 68 people have been killed in violent clashes between inmates inside a prison in Ecuador. International media have confirmed that 68 people have been killed and another 25 injured. A search of a jail in Gakuil has turned up explosives and a gun.
The administration has mobilized the army after the clash. This year alone, more than 200 people have been killed in clashes inside prisons in Ecuador. More than 100 people were killed in clashes last month. At least 79 people were reported killed in clashes at three prisons in February. There is a lot of violence in these prisons where drug related criminals are concentrated.
