
KATHMANDU: Armed Police Force Club thrashed Friends Club 5-2 in today’s match under the Martyr’s Memorial A-Division League at ANFA Complex in Satdobato.
APF Club began a firing start with two goals from Aashish Lama in the 12th and 40th minute taking the team to a 2-0 lead. However, Friends Club returned a goal in the 69th minute bringing the match to 2-1 scores.
Prabin Syangten added another goal for APF Club reaching 3-1 scores, which was adjusted later to 3-2 after Bishwo Adhikari scored a goal in the 76th minutes for Friends Club.
However APF Club led the match 5-2 after scoring two more goals in injury time, securing a win. For the team, Captain Top Bahadur Bista and Syangten added two goals in injury time. Lama has been announced man of the match for the game.
With this win, APF has reached 13th position with eight points from 12 matches. Similarly, Friends Club is placed in ninth position with 14 points from 12 matches.
