KATHMANDU: The Nepal Army today carried another controlled blast to remove landslide obstruction from the course of Sunkoshi River in Sindhupalchok on Friday.
Issuing a statement, NA Public Relations Directorate said army personnel deployed at the site have been trying hard to extract as much water as possible from the river-turned-lake by deepening the artificially made secondary channel to facilitate the flow of water. According to NA, the inflow of water at the River was recorded at 182 cusec while outflow was 273 cusec.
Likewise, NA said the construction of a temporary alternative track to ease transportation along the landslide-hit area is already complete. “The NA is now working to upgrade the track,” the statement said today.
Likewise, Nepal Army has continued its efforts to carry rescue and rehabilitation operations across the country in the disaster-hit areas.
