After five weeks, SC delivers a dozen of verdicts, issues orders


KATHMANDU:- The number of verdicts and orders issued by the Supreme Court on Friday indicated that it restored the regular work atmosphere after five weeks.
Twelve verdicts were delivered and 29 orders issued on Friday itself. Justices Dipak Kumar Karki and Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma were allocated 21 cases for hearing. Among them, verdicts were delivered on 12 cases.
Similarly, most of the cases were heard. There were no cases left for hearing on constraint of office hour.
A division bench of Justices Tej Bahadur KC and Dr Kumar Chudal was allocated hearing on 15 cases. Among them, the bench issued orders on four cases and delivered verdicts on two.
Moreover, Justice Prakash Kumar Dhungana issued order on the four cases he was allocated. The two cases conducted hearing by Justice Hari Krishna Karki were issued order.
A lottery based system has been adopted on hearing of cases in the Supreme since December 1.
