KATHMANDU:- Nepal has recorded additional 430 cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 177 women and 253 men have tested positive to the coronavirus while examining the samples of 5,300 people of late.
With this, the number of coronavirus-infected people has reached 265,689. Likewise, additional 390 infected have recovered from the virus lately. Total number of people recovered has advanced to 259,358.
The recovery rate is 97.6 percent, the ministry shared.
Presently number of active cases of coronavirus across the country has reached 4,408.
So far PCR test of 1,992,855 people has been performed.
In the past 24 hours, the Kathmandu Valley has witnessed confirmation of coronavirus among 259 people.
Meanwhile, the death toll from coronavirus infection across the country has reached 1,932. Five COVID-19 infected have lost their lives in the past 24 hours, the ministry added.
