Adding to the panic, the death toll from COVID-19 infection in Nepal has risen to eight

Phurpa Sherpa, KATHMANDU:- Two more people have died in Nepal due to COVID-19 infection. Earlier, the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) had confirmed the deaths of six people. The swabs of two people who died recently have been tested positive of COVID-19.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a 35-year-old male from Dullu Municipality Ward-11 Dailekh died on Saturday. And the report was positive as he was in the quarantine of Dailekh-based Electricity Authority.
Similarly, a two-year-old girl who came to Nepal with her parents from India eight days ago had also died due to COVID-19. The girl’s mother has also been diagnosed with COVID-19. The father’s report is said to be negative. The girl was admitted to the District Hospital, Bajura on May 29 after suffering from breathing problems, fever and vomiting.
According to the Ministry, the report of the test conducted at Seti Provincial Hospital after collecting her swab was positive.
The death toll has risen to eight and the number of people returning home after recovery has reached 220 in Nepal.
