7th General Assembly of NAJA kicks off in Baltimore


Purushottam Dhakal / BALTIMORE: The seventh Annual General Assembly of Journalists of Nepalese Origin Nepal America Journalist Association (NAJA) has kicked off in Baltimore from Saturday.

Journalists of Nepali origin, who were scattered in different parts of the United States, have gathered in Baltimore to take part in the general assembly. Chairperson of NAJA Aang Tshiring Shrepa informed that over 100 journalists are taking part in the program.

According to coordinator of the General Assembly organizing committee, Gautam Dahal, the assembly would amend the statute of the organization, which would pave the way for having collaboration with media related institutions of America and to mainstream journalists of Nepali origin in the mainstream American journalism.

Visiting leader of Nepali Congress Arjun Nurshing KC and journalist Kapil KC among others addressed the program.
