5,743 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, 26 new deaths

KATHMANDU:- A total of 5,743 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in the past 24 hours in the country. With this, the number of total infected has reached 144,872 as of today in the country.

According to Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population Dr Jageshwar Gautam, 2,996 recovered from the deadly corona virus in the past 24 hours.

With this, total recovery has reached 99,605 in the country till Wednesday. Meanwhile, 3,107 new cases of the infection have been witnessed in Kathmandu valley alone in the past 24 hours.

According to Dr Guatam, number of total infected active cases has reached upto 44,476 in the country. The Ministry further shared that 26 infected patients died in the past 24 hours. With this, total deaths caused by pandemic reached 791 in the country till today.
