
KATHMANDU:- The country has reported 564 new COVID-19 cases including 276 in the Kathmandu Valley and one infection-related death in the past 24 hours.
The caseloads were from the total 4,454 tests, said Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari, joint secretary for the Ministry of Health and Population at a regular press meet organised to update COVID-19 data today.
The infection cases included 218 in Kathmandu, 41 in Lalitpur and 17 in Bhaktapur. The number of active infection cases is 3,929 across the country. So far, 3,794 infected people have been in home-isolation and 135 in institution-isolation. Similarly, 32 have been admitted to intensive care units and two are on ventilator support.
During the period, 202 infected people have been free of the deadly virus.
Meanwhile, a total of 101,600 people got vaccinated against the infection today.
