5 die, 26 Injured in bus accident


CHAUTARA: At least five persons died and 26 others were injured in a road accident at Kothe of Phulpingdanda in Sindhupalchowk district this morning.

Three persons died on the spot and two others were died while undergoing treatment at Hospital, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Basanta Kumar Lama.

Of the injured, seriously injured one person has been sent to Kathmandu for treatment and remaining injured are undergoing treatment at Sadabahar Hospital, Khadichour.

The accident took place when Tatopani-bound bus (Ba 2 Kha 3347) from Kathmandu plunged into Sunkoshi river after falling some 20 meters off the road.

Number of patients has not been ascertained yet and Police suspect number of casualty might increase. RSS
