5 dead in separate accidents, including two SLC students


KATHMANDU: Five persons lost their lives on Wednesday in two separate accidents. In Bhaktapur two students on their way to appear for their SLC examinations lost thier life when their motorcycle wheered off the road into the drainage in Jagate of Bhaktapur district.

The deceased have been identified as Santosh Deuja and Bikas Lama. They were students of the Saraswati Shikshya Sadan, Bhaktapur.

Their speeding motorcycle( Ba 48 Pa 417) failed to turn at a bend near Ajad Secondary School and was ditched in the drainage informed MPC Jagate’s Police Inspector Chakra Basnet.

According to Basnet, Deuja, a resident of local Gundu VDC-9 died on the spot while Lama, originally from Jhapa district and currently living in local Sallaghari breathed his last at Kathmandu Medical College

Similarly three passangers lost their lives in a Mahauli Bazar of Saptari district the passanger bus carrying them met with an accident. Around 29 passangers have been seriously injured in the accident that occured after the bus belonging to Sherpa Travels turned off the road.

The deceased have been identified as Rudra Raut of Bokshe, Udaypur and identity of other two has not been confirmed yet informed Police inspector Rajendra Basnet at regional police.
