4 killed in separate accidents


JHAPA: Two people were killed and 27 others were injured when a night bus of the Mahalaxmi Travels met with an accident at Yagyabhumi in Dhanusha district last night.

The bus was en route to Kathmandu from Pashupati Nagar, Ilam. The deceased are 38-year-old Dilmaya Lama of Jhapa and another woman in her forties whose name and address is not known, the District Police Office, Ilam stated. The condition of three among the injured passengers is said to be critical, police stated.
The bus (registration number Na 3 Kha 8892) had left Pashupati Nagar on Sunday afternoon and met with the accident at 11 p.m. in Dhanusha. The driver has been arrested.

NEPALGUNJ: A sister and her brother died when they were trapped as the wall of their house collapsed at Salyanibag, Nepalgunj-5 on Sunday evening.

Those killed due to the wall collapse are 14-year-old Kalim and 12-year-old Maliya, the son and daughter respectively, of one Hanif Salmani. The children were trapped in the falling rubble as they tried to demolished the already collapsed wall, it is stated. RSS
