3 of a family crushed to death


KATHMANDU: Three members of one family died at Garjamani of Pipaladi-9 in Kanchanpur district on Sunday night after a falling tree crushed them.
The deceased have been identified as Dhana Devi BK, 40, her son Deepak BK, 12, and a daughter Puja BK, 10, according to the Area Police Office, Jhalari.
The incident took place after a sal tree fell on the house in a    strong storm.

Husband of Dhana Devi, Manno BK, is safe as he was out of the house.
Meanwhile, electricity supply in the southern region of the district has been disrupted from last night due to the storm.

The storm also blew away roofs of more than half dozen schools and also destroyed banana farming.

The storm caused a loss of million rupees at Dekhatbhuli VDC-9, said local Ganga Ram Chaudhary. RSS
