According to the Non-Resident Nepali Association, two more Nepalese had died in India recently. As of Saturday evening, 264 Nepalese have died due to corona in different countries including Nepal.
According to Dr. Sanjeev Sapkota, coordinator of the health committee under the federation, Nepalese living in India, Australia, Belgium, Poland, France, Qatar and Saudi Arabia have seen more infections this year. Compared to last year, the rate of corona infection has decreased in the Middle East countries including Qatar, UAE and Saudi Arabia. According to the committee, 146 Nepalis living in Australia have been infected this year.
According to the committee, the Nepali infected people in Luxembourg have been getting infected last year. Nepalese in 38 countries around the world have been infected with the corona virus. Of them, Nepalis in 16 countries have died due to corona. Due to the corona virus, Nepalis living in UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Ireland, Japan, Turkey, Netherlands and Sweden, India, Nepal, South Africa and other countries died.
So far, corona infection has been seen in 55,925 people living abroad including Nepal. Of them, 47,437 have been declared free of corona infection.
A total of 46,312 people from 58 countries have been rescued in collaboration with the Non-Resident Nepali Association of Nepalese Missing Abroad, Nepalese Embassies and diplomatic missions.
Most of them are 12,501 from UAE, 6,997 from Saudi Arabia, 6,794 from Malaysia, 6,329 from Kuwait, 5,251 from Qatar, 33 from Afghanistan, 636 from Oman, 266 from Myanmar, 326 from Thailand, 720 from South Korea and 841 from Bangladesh. , Maldives 709, Singapore 297, Hong Kong 89, Pakistan 72, Bahrain 980, USA 423, UK 229, Israel 127, China 208 and 110 Nepalis have returned home from Turkey.
201 from Philippines, 10 from Switzerland, 39 from Iraq, 250 from South Sudan, 68 from Central African Republic, five from Sri Lanka and 1,023 from Japan have returned home. Eighty-five people have returned home from India by air. But the statistics of those who came from India by land are not sure.
The bodies of 246 people who died due to various reasons abroad have been brought home and handed over to their families. So far, 172 people have been agreed to be cremated in the destination country. Of the 494 people who died abroad, 76 bodies are yet to be brought to Nepal.
