184 new cases of coronavirus


KATHMANDU:- The country has recorded 184 new cases of coronavirus in the latest update. The Ministry of Health and Population shared it in a regular press briefing on Thursday.
The health bulletin released by the ministry stated that 184 cases of coronavirus were recorded in the last 24 hours after conducting tests among 11,018 people. With this, the active cases of coronavirus reached 5,526 in the country.
Similarly, 267 infected persons got rid of virus in the same period. It reached the total recovery at 808,038. The recovery rate is 97.9 percent.
The ministry further stated that there are more than 500 cases of coronavirus in Kathmandu and Lalitpur districts. Similarly, the districts having more than 200 cases are Sunsari, Bhaktapur, Kaski, Banke and Kailali.
Moreover, Manang, Dolpa, Humla and Bajura districts have zero infection. The infection rate at present is 17.4 percent.
There are 5,247 infected persons recovering health at home isolations, 179 at institutional isolations, 111 at ICU and 28 on ventilators.
Meanwhile, two persons lost lives to coronavirus in the last 24 hours. It has reached the total fatalities at 11,567.
In the recent update, 240,564 persons were vaccinated against coronavirus. So far, 11.7 million plus people got first dose of coronavirus while 9.46 million got full dose in Nepal.
