1,703 new cases of coronavirus, national tally reaches 229,343

KATHMANDU:- A total of 1,703 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the past 24 hours in the country, taking the national tally to 229,343.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 210,671 coronavirus infected persons were recovered in the same period. With this, the number of active coronavirus stands at 17,237.
Meanwhile, 822 new cases were recorded in the Kathmandu Valley in the past 24 hours. Of them, 599 were from Kathmandu, 160 from Lalitpur and 63 from Bhaktapur.
Likewise, 23 people succumbed to coronavirus infection in the country in the past 24 hours, thereby reaching the death toll 1,435.
