GORKHA: The Gorkha Police today rounded up 16 cadres of the Unified CPN (Maoist) Baidya camp. They were held while pasting leaflets at the District Administration Office, Gorkha, in a bid to publicizing the one-hour-long transport halt the faction had called for at 10 this morning.
Among those arrested in this connection is the leader of the Baidya faction in the district Narayan Adhikari. Adhikari accused the police of beating them with truncheons while arresting them.
The Baidya faction of the UCPN (Maoist) has announced various protest programmes against the army integration deal their party has reached with other political parties. RSS
