While the meeting of the Council of Minister is underway which is supposed to denounce the President’s call for the consensus government overstepping the constitutional provision, 15 opposition parties are holding a meeting at the CPN (UML)’s party office Balkhu to discuss upon the leadership of national consensus government as called by the President on Friday.
The meeting will deal with the issues of national consensus government, road-map for ending the political impasse and other contentious issues. The meeting will ask the main opposition party Nepali Congress to come up with the candidate for the Prime Minister at earliest. UML leaders have already told that they will back the Congress led national consensus government.
The opposition parties have intensified the bilateral and multilateral meetings following the President’s call of Friday for the national consensus government within a week.
