1,115 migrant workers return Nepal via chartered flights

KATHMANDU: A total of 1,115 migrant workers who were stranded abroad due to Corona Virus and subsequent lockdown have returned home via chartered flights today.

They were airlifted to the country via various chartered flights of different airlines including the state-owned Nepal Airlines. Twelve international chartered flights were made to and from Tribhuvan International Airport today. The NA aircraft brought 267 Nepalese from Japan and 151 from Qatar. Similarly, Himalayan Airlines rescued 153 from Malaysia and 152 from Doha. Likewise, Air Arabia brought 165 Nepalese from Sharjah.

Fly Dubai brought 154 Nepalese from Dubai and Malindo Air brought176 from Kuala Lumpur. The TIA on Wednesday also will see chartered flights taking place to rescue more Nepalese.
